Comprehensive Early Childhood Programs
Nurturing Growth from 6 Weeks to 6 Years

From their first steps to their first day of kindergarten.
Bright Beginnings Early Childhood Program (BBECP) delivers high-quality early childhood education and childcare services for children 6 weeks to 6 years. Our team of licensed professionals fosters each child’s emotional, physical, cognitive, and social development using developmentally appropriate practices and structured classroom routines tailored to individual and group needs.
Our educational framework combines the Creative Curriculum with the Connecticut Preschool Assessment Framework, guiding intentional teaching across five developmental domains: social-emotional, physical, cognitive, creative, and personal growth. Teachers observe and assess each child, set personalized learning goals, and promote active exploration, complex thinking, and language development through play-based learning.
At BBECP, ongoing professional development and reflective practice drive the quality of our early childhood education programs. Through weekly team meetings and monthly staff reflections, our teachers collaborate to refine teaching strategies, assess developmental progress, and continuously elevate curriculum delivery to support each child’s evolving needs.
Infants
Our infant care program emphasizes emotional security, sensory exploration, and early communication in a loving, safe environment. Aligned with the Creative Curriculum and Connecticut state standards, activities build motor and social skills. Teachers continuously observe and assess infants, setting personalized goals to provide nurturing, age-appropriate learning experiences. Ongoing professional development ensures caregivers remain current on evidence-based infant care practices.

Toddlers
The toddler program fosters independence, language development, and early social skills through structured group play, storytelling, and problem-solving activities. Using the Creative Curriculum and aligned with the Connecticut assessment framework, each learning experience supports all five developmental domains. Intentional teaching and individualized goal-setting ensure toddlers are challenged and supported as they grow. Regular staff development keeps our approach fresh and child-focused.
Pre-School
Our preschool program prepares children for kindergarten by strengthening literacy, math, critical thinking, and social skills. Based on the Creative Curriculum and Connecticut’s Preschool Assessment Framework, instruction emphasizes hands-on exploration, problem-solving, and language-rich interactions. Our intentional teaching model, complete with ongoing observation and updated developmental goals, ensures continuous growth across all domains. The professional development of staff supports excellence in early learning strategies and school readiness outcomes.
